Why do I like Eminem's new albums better than his classic albums?

I'm not a huge rap fan, but I really like Eminem. I like pretty much all music except I only like Eminem for rap. When I talk to people though they say his new albums don't even compare to his old one's like MMLP etc. I think those songs are good but not as good as his new ones. Would this be because I'm only 17 yrs old and during his "peak" years of 1996-2003 I was not even ten years old and didn't listen to those songs until I got older, and I liked the new ones more when they came out? Or is it because I'm not a huge rap fan but more of a pop fan? Thanks so much

Probably because you're young. Possibly a mix of both. But I only really remember around the 2000's. And I don't know what his new music sounds like.

It's probably the age thing. When Eminem first came out, he was so dope it's ridiculous! It's good that he's back and going stronger but people just don't get the same feel from how good he was way back then.
