Question:
What's the greatest R&B/Rap collaboration? And Why?
?

My friend and I are having a debate. She says that the greatest of anything is the one that started it. We got into the discussion of music, then r&b/rap collaborations. She's got her opinion on the song she thinks started the trend (which I'm not going to share), and my opinion is that the first isn't always the greatest.

So I'm running a poll: what's the greatest R&B/Rap collaboration of all-time, and why??? Please give as many details to support your choice. Have fun, be creative, and enjoy!!!

This question is pretty much impossible to answer these days because...

1). No one can define what Hip Hop really is

2). Rappers are singing

3). R&B Stars are rapping

They've meshed! So I can't really even think of all the potential collabos that have occured. The staples of course are, "I'll Be There For You" (Meth & Mary), "I'f I Ruled The Wolrd" (Nas & Lauryn), "All That I Got Is You" (Ghostface & Mary) and so on...

Here are some of my personal fav's though...

"Way of The Light" ---- Gift of Gab Feat. Vursatyl

"Been Through The Storm" --------- Busta Rhymes Feat. Stevie Wonder

Vanilla Ice. He still holds the record for top-selling rap album. Even though he stole most of his background music from other songs.
