old school because old school rappers are better, they're more real and credible. also, they are really from the Hood and we can see it in the way they rap and their lyrics. its not like Lil wayne and soulja boy talkn about how they get money and sh*t

Old school, mainly because of how much sense it made. Most old school rappers were from the hood and had a different subject in every one of their songs. By this I mean that not every single one of their songs were about the same thing. New school on the other hand is all lies. They all think they are from the hood because they rap about clubs, bitches and money. Put them in Compton in the 1980 s and they wouldn t last a day. As I said, new school rappers just rap about the same things in every single song they publish, when they have probably never held a gun in their life!!! Also, every single new school hip hop artist sounds the same, either squeeky or from Northern London. So obviously I am on the old school side mainly because they made sense and their songs are nicer to listen to, yeah it might be a bit too gangster sometimes but its better than hearing an artist that sounds like a dying cat through your speakers every night!

The beats weren't very complex, the topics were very limited, the tempos and flows of the raps always sounded the same. But then again, that depends on what you mean by old-school. A person who is like 18 years old would probably count Tupac as old school, where someone in their mid-20's or 30's would count Run DMC as old school. I really didn't feel like reading that jumble of text you wrote so I really don't know which you're referencing.

Old school no doubt! I completely agree. Wayne's old stuff is decent but he just sucks now and so does almost every other mainstream rapper. I like Kendrick Lamar too and I listen to a lot of underground rap like Hopsin, Immortal Technique, Tech N9ne, MGK, Ces Cru etc.

I bet you think you were born in the wrong generation too; idiot! Eazy-E good; hahahahah he's objectively bad. Tupac was a mediocre lyricist with pseudo-intellectual lyrics. Also, Eminem isn't as great as you think he is (after the Em Show, he sucked). I'll choose new school considering the constant innovation and growth of the genre. Oh, if you're going to talk about old rappers at least name good ones: Wu Tang, The Roots, Public Enemy, Common, ATCQ, Ice Cube, KRS, etc.

Old school rap because back in the days rappers were singing about the **** that happens to them everyday and they also singed about their life in the hood. Nowaday rappers just sing about bitches money and drugs and they always say that in all their songs. I agree about kendrick lamar being the only good rapper today, he sings about things that happens to him everyday.

Lmao how can you diss Wayne and Drake and praise Eazy? His subject matter was just as bad. Old School is dope but there are plenty of good and talented artist that are new. Stop living in the past and do some research.

dude Old School rap is always great, we know this but stop living in the past. there's tons of great rappers now, you just have to look deeper in. Ex. Kendrick (you know him), J Cole, Big KRIT, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, Joey Bada$$, Earl Sweatshirt, Dom Kennedy, Curren$y etc.
