ive recently started listening to alot of Hip Hop and ive become a huge fan of Emin3m, but when i go onto his youtube people always say this is slim shady and stuff like that. and ive heard emin3m say slim shady a few times before in his songs. what does it mean?

Marshall Mathers, started rapping under the name M&M, but changed it for copyright reasons to Eminem.

When he joined d12 (smh if you dont know that thats his group) they wanted 12 members, but couldnt reach the number, so they got 6 members, each with an alter ego.

He decided to make Slim Shady, his 'Evil' Side, and he released a short CD, (An EP) in 1998 called 'The Slim Shady EP' which Dr.Dre heard, and decided to sign him.

Yeah, It started with d12, there were 6 people in d12, so they all made an alter ego which is why it's 12, anyways, thats when he created slim shady, which is the violent one.
