Using FPC (which comes with FLstudio) you can drag and drop samples you've premade onto the pads in the FPC window. You can use the keyboard, just find which button sets off which pad and use that one. After that, to the left of the pads you should see a few waveforms of audio clips. Click each one to hear which sound it makes. Delete the sounds that are not your sample and you're done. Alternatively, right click a channel and click Load Sample... and use the piano roll to place it down. Just fool around and you'll get it. Also, if you wanna make samples from mp3s for fooling around/demos, I recommend Audacity. It's simple and it's free.
