to all these so called real hiphop fans... yall are the reason hiphop is drowning in shame right now. im a 80s baby and i remember when dedicated fans who had no job would spin their last couple dollars on their favorite rappers cd wit no problem reason why real hiphop sold so many records. now The hiphop heads use the net to basically disect their favorite rappers album just to see if it meets a certain criteria... newsflash, Nas who is by far one of the best lyrical minded rappers today hasent broken 300,000 yet and why is that... cuz there are no more loyal fans. he should easily be gold right now.

i hate wayne but this guy has gotta have loyal fans that no matter how good or bad his album is they buy it anyway to support him. niqqas learning how to use the internet killed hiphop. too many hiphop heads expecting thier favorite artist on these major labels to make str8 raw rap, story songs etc, when thats cool but nowadays thats not what the masses is looking for and if it dont meet that standard for you hiphop heads you will right off your favorite rapper and not support them.

Nas has absolutely NO cultural relevance right now. The fact that he's able to sell anything CLOSE to 300,000 records is surprising, and it's not because of his fanbase. In fact, what your saying is ridiculous. Lil Wayne doesn't sell records because of a loyal fanbase, he sells records because he's in the public eye. As soon as he isn't the talk of every single high schooler from Houston to Vancouver no one will give two sh*ts about him. He'll probably sell less records than Nas in a similar position in his career.

Disloyalty in fanbases isn't isolated to underground hip hop fans, and that isn't even 'elitism' because it's a widespread disposition. Everyone peruses samples and makes decisions based on their personal preferences and word of mouth, not by personal allegiances to artists.

i do not understand. perchance quite yet I took guitar classes many years decrease back and there have been a lot of youthful youngsters in there taking classes. i imagine with the use in acceptance of catchy pop punk bands that play implement riffs it provides youngsters extra opt to objective ad play contraptions and also metal has an severe following nonetheless. there is new metal bands capturing up in all places. the component with those genres is you quite favor to be taught music with the intention to play it. at the same time as in RHH you may seem at a ton of artists who've 0 expertise yet are nonetheless very fashionable and it probable comes off searching like its ordinary to do. yet rock bands for the most area probable earn extra money than maximum rappers because of traveling. Hip hop has grow to be so glamorous and the life-form seems so astounding it really is demanding or youngsters now to not opt to a minimum of try it. As for jazz and stuff I propose there is not ok a lot occupation chance in those genres proper now. yet music is going by skill of stages Bq- i imagine he ordinary blue ollar individual can relate to hip hop extra. youthful human being that is for the most area. yet different genres that take care of topics consisting of affection and heartbreak like r n b and rock. all and sundry can % out with that besides. So it quite comes right down to what ou like. we may be able to narrate to some issues in hip hop yet there's a ton we can not. what number of people shoot and promote drugs andcontinual effective vehicles. not many. So some concern matter we may be able to yet some we can not relate to. i imagine there is something you'll locate in very form you may relate to
