What do you think of the over use of the auto tuner in hip hop?

Auto-Tune is a proprietary audio processor created by Antares Audio Technologies that uses a phase vocoder to correct pitch in vocal and instrumental performances. It is used to disguise inaccuracies and mistakes, and has allowed many artists to produce more precisely tuned recordings.

I mean I thought it was cool when T-pain brought it into hip hop but now....I mean who isn't using it? Some people go so far as to say if a recording artist uses this technique, they my accidentally make a hit
song. What do you think of the whole auto tune phenomenon???

no, roger troutman brought it in hip hop. btw, it's only efficent in small doses, not an whole album of it. kanye's verse from put on worked great, however, half the songs on 808's didn't need it.

i don't listen to the big radio stations and I stay away from Kanye west,t-pain,lil wayne ect.
